615music_logo.jpgJust finished producing  "Angelina" for new artist Leo. Leo is a currently unsigned artist from New York. A three piece band was tracked in studio "A" at Patchwerk Studios in Atlanta. Leo flew in to record vocals at Patchwerk studio "B." Gabe Masterson came in from Nashville to engineer the sessions. The song was mixed in Chuck Ainlay's "Backstage" room at Soundstage Studios in Nashville. Tom Garneau mastered the project in Minneapolis. Leo's project is edgy Pop and should do well once it hits the radio. The project is being quarterbacked by Chavoita Lesane of Chavam Entertainment in Miami.

annjf.jpgFinished work with Grammy nominee Ann Nesby on a song for the World Cup. I composed and recorded the string arrangement as well as recorded additional lead vocals of Ann. The Sounds of Blackness choir were also featured on this track singing backing vocals. The song is being mixed by Paul Marino of XeoJax Studios in Minneapolis.

I am currently in production with the score to "Closer to Crazy." This film is based on the book by Nina Foxx, "Just Short of Crazy." Nina is also the executive producer and director. The film is also directed by Hollywood veteran Freeman White III. The film is in a quasi-episodic format giving me a little more freedom with styles used in the score. The cues range from full orchestral to electronic and ensemble. The score will be mixed in Atlanta at Studio ForJam some time in January. "Closer to Crazy" is sure to be a hit with the film festivals.

Baby Mama DramaI just finished composing the soundtrack to the Nina Foxx Stageplay "Baby Mama Drama." I composed and produced six feature songs that include vocal performances by Tyga Graham (Silk), Latrice Pace (TAPS), and Courtney Cobb. I composed the music with Nina writing the lyrics for the songs. The music was recorded in advance of the actual mounting of the stageplay. This approach is a departure from the traditional production of stage plays. The music has been produced at the highest level available and is available on iTunes and other digital music outlets. The stageplay will initially be filmed for DVD distribution. This is the second play that I have done with Nina Foxx, the first being "Marrying Up".
